weather

We are very understanding and sensitive to the fact that the weather in Muskoka is very unpredictable and can change swiftly.

Because of this we are very lenient in regards to our cancellation policy regarding weather. Similar to our cancellation policy, our inclement weather policy is also outlined on the confirmation email which you should recieve 72 to 48 hours before your scheduled session.

In the event of inclement weather, Muskoka Wake will, in consultation with the customer, determine if it is safe to proceed with the lesson. If the lesson is cancelled due to unsafe conditions or mutually agreed upon inclement weather, Muskoka Wake will do its best to reschedule for different times during the same day and/or a following date. Should the booking be cancelled completely due to bad weather, including unsafe water conditions, you will not be held responsible for any of the costs of the lesson.

However, if the weather turns unsafe after  a portion of the session has been completed, or is currently in process and partially completed, the customer will only be charged for the time incurred, rounded up to the nearest half hour.

Below are examples of, but not limited to, inclement weather

Torrential downpour of rain

Hail/Sleet

Unavoidable excessive and high winds

Thunder and lightning

As rule of thumb, it is safe to assume that if we, Muskoka Wake and its staff, are not comfortable being out in the boat and on the water, neither should you. At this point it can be assumed that the lesson will be canceled without penalty. Inclement weather does not include cool temperatures, light rain or drizzle, windy, or choppy water conditions.

It is part of our responsibilty and service to find water conditions that are suitable for wakeboarding and wakesurfing, and provide the most enjoyable experience both in and behind the boat, while sustaining a safe environment.
